The grant’s main purpose is to help reduce the upfront cost of installing EV charge points. No matter if its at home or in rental and commercial properties, this grant is available.

This grant can cover up to 75% of the installation cost, however, it is capped at £350 per charging socket. Therefore, it’s an ideal option for those living in flats or rented accommodation. Workplace Charging Scheme

The Workplace Charging Scheme is a UK government initiative that provides financial support to businesses, charities, and public sector organisations for the installation of EV chargepoints on their premises. As a result, in 2025, the scheme offers a grant covering up to 75% of the total costs. With it capped at £350 per socket, for up to 40 sockets across all sites.

To be eligible, applicants must have off-street parking and use an OZEV-authorised installer, such as TP Electrical. The scheme is available throughout the UK (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.)

Changes To EV Charger Grants In 2025

The UK government has extended some key EV charging grant schemes until 31st March 2026. As a result, providing continued support for homeowners, landlords, and businesses.

EV Chargepoint Grant for renters & flatowners: Offers up to £350 (75% of installation costs) for eligible applicants with off-street parking.

Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS): Provides up to £350 per socket, covering 75% of installation costs, for businesses charities, and public sector organisations.

Landlord Grants: Landlords can apply for up to 200 grants per year for residential properties and additionally 100 for commercial properties. Each offering up to £350 per socket.

How To Apply For EV Charger Funding
